    1. HOW CAN I PLACE A BACKORDER FOR A SOLD OUT ITEM OR SIZE?

    If the hat/cap that you want is marked as "BACKORDER", you may place a backorder. To place a backorder, you will have to order (charge/pay) it online in advance. To process a backorder, simply choose the item/color that you would like, then choose the size for your backorder, then also put a note in the comment section of the order form telling us exactly what size you would like to place on backorder. The note would say something like (depending on the hat/cap), "Please place a Large (L) size on backorder" or "Please place a 7 3/8 (L) size on backorder". Then finish placing your order. Most backorders take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to ship, depending on the hat/cap. You will receive an e-mail after placing your order informing you how many weeks your backorder will take to ship. In the unlikely event that your backorder item has been discontinued and cannot be fulfilled, we will notify you within 24 hours, cancel your backorder and credit you for a full refund. Please note that some special custom-made backorder hats are non-refundable.



    2. HOW DO I DETERMINE MY HAT SIZE?

    Measure your head, then use the hat sizing chart below. To measure your head, take a flexible tape measure and wrap it around your head above your ears and eyebrows where your hat would normally sit. If your head size falls between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size of the two. A small piece of foam or cotton can easily be inserted behind the sweatband if the fit is a little loose. Different hat manufacturers’ size standards may vary slightly. In the event of a hat not fitting, we will accept returns for exchanges.

    YOUR SATISFACTION IS 100% GUARANTEED! If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with a purchase, simply return the item to us within 30 days of receipt and we will exchange it for another size, color, style or issue a full refund (minus the shipping cost), using your original method of payment only. In the event that the credit card which was used is expired and there is no replacement card, only an exchange will be allowed. The return item(s) must be in brand new, unworn condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange. You must pay for the shipping cost when sending us a return. We will pay for the cost of shipping when sending you an exchange. In the event that a second exchange is requested, you must pay for both of the shipping cost, to have it returned to us and to have the exchange shipped back to you. We will charge your credit card on file the appropriate amount for the shipping cost. We also cannot be responsible for return items that are lost in transit. Please allow 5 - 7 business days, after receipt, for all exchanges and/or refunds to be fully processed. All exchanges will be shipped out via United State Postal Service.

    Return/exchange merchandise procedure:

    A. Get a Return Authorization Number by contacting at: service@dadshats.com or 1-(888)dadshat. We will try our best to e-mail you back within 24 hours with your Return Authorization Number. Please provide us with your full name and order number so that your request is processed without delay.

    B. Indicate the reason for your return/exchange (wrong size, color, didn't like style, etc).

    C. Include a note indicating what you would like as an exchange. (if applicable) Please include the hat name, model number, color, and size.

    D. Securely wrap the return item back up in its original box (if saved).

    E. Send the original or copy of the packing/invoice slip along with the merchandise. If the invoice has been lost or misplaced, please include a note with your name, address, and phone number that your order was placed under.

    F. Include your return address and contact phone number.

    G. For your protection, we recommend that you return merchandise via UPS or Insured U.S. Post Office. Dads Hats will not be responsible for items that are damaged or lost in transit.

    The shipping rates are one flat fee, good for any number of items on any one order! We ship out most orders using the United States Postal Service (USPS). We also use the USPS to ship to all U.S. Military and P.O. Box address. There are no deliveries on weekends and major holidays. We also cannot be held responsible for late deliveries due to the recipient/customer not being at home to sign for the package. All International Express orders will be shipped out using the USPS. *Some international orders do have a tax, duty, or an additional customs fee. It is the customer's responsibility to pay these fees.

    The shipping rates (USPS) within the 48 contiguous United States are good for any number of hats on any one order!

    Once we receive your order online, it will be processed within 24 hours. All orders which are received by 3:00 PM CST will be shipped out no later than the end of the following (non-holiday) business day. All orders received on the weekend (Sat, Sun) will ship out no later than the following (non-holiday) Monday.

    After you place your order, we will send you two e-mails, one to confirm receipt of your order and provide you with an order number and the second to let you know your order has been shipped, and provide you with an order tracking number which will allow you to check on the delivery status of your order via UPS/USPS online at anytime.     16. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CARE FOR MY HAT?

    • If you’re not going to be wearing your hat everyday, it’s very important that you keep it away from dirt and dust. If you don't have a hat box, keep it covered in a loosely wrapped plastic trash bag and seal it with a tie.

    • Never store you hat right side up on a flat surface. This could cause the brim to flatten. Store upside down on a clean surface or in a box.

    • To remove surface dirt from a straw hat, wipe with a clean damp cloth. For a felt hat, use a soft brush starting at the left side of the hat and brushing counter-clockwise toward the back. Repeat.

    • Because heat and perspiration will shrink the sweatband, avoid exposure to stoves, radiators, lamps and car windows.

    • If your felt hat gets wet, turn down the leather sweatband and stand the hat on the sweatband to dry. Avoid resting the hat on its brim while wet.

    • To keep the sweatband dry of perspiration and hairdressings, occasionally turn down the sweatband to dry when not being worn.

    • Clean water and grease spots on a felt hat with baby powder or cornstarch. Avoid all liquid cleaners.

    • Hold your hat at the brim, in front and back when removing from your head. Avoid handling the crown as much as possible.

    • Do not pick up your hat by "pinching" the crown, either at the top or front. Pinching will flex the felt, and eventually cause a hole or crack to develop in the material.
