A fur felt hat is much higher is quality than a wool felt hat. A fur felt is most often made out of a mix of 3 furs: rabbit, wild hare, and beaver. The more beaver fur is in the mix, the higher the quality of the fur felt. Felt is a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing fibers. While some types of felt are very soft, some are tough enough to form construction materials. Felt can be of any color, and made into any shape or size. Felt is the oldest form of fabric known to humankind. All of our felt hats are extremely durable and can last for many years with the proper care.
